PHD

PHD
Piled High & Deep!
The ladies of the Quilt Batts and I have decided to hold a PHD event!
We each picked out three projects and agreed to finish them in six months with an optional fourth project you can complete or trade for one of the three.  My list was VERY long but I narrowed it down to these four.
  1. "Friendship Knot" from McCall's Quilting - magazine dated 1997! *started* with 1930s fabrics
  2. "King of the Roost" by Betty Alderman Designs- four redwork chickens have been completed thanks to my Mom-Marilyn's help
  3. "Shakertown Quilt" by Pepper Cory, took a class with Pepper Cory in 1999 along with two Quilt Batt friends and started the stencil blocks set with puss in the corner blocks.  The quilt is from the book called "The Signature Quilt"
  4. Log Cabin & Court House Steps lap quilt started at Whiffle Tree quilt camp in 1999 with Autumn fabrics
I still like all these projects and have been dreaming of finishing them for years!
THE DREAM IS ABOUT TO COME TRUE THIS YEAR!

Love this idea Linda, and it's so fun that your projects really have some age on them.
I'm going to look thru my projects and see if I have something close to a finish - maybe I can do my PHD over two years *lol*
*hugs*

I'm so glad to know that other people have unfinished projects from that long ago like I do - LOL! Great idea and I should jump on this train!

I should definitely join in on this! I recently sorted my fabric and UFOs so everything is ready to go. Seeing your picture reminded me how much I like my Friendship Knot UFO and should really finish it. Thanks for the inspiration.

I love your colorful King of the Roost, Linda, and I thought those chickies looked kind of familiar. Very cute quilt. That chicken in the center is great.
