My sister-in-law Jo Ellen, just passed these two lovely quilts to my husband and I.
I especially love the red, orange & green one!
It is a good thing my husband looks at my blog since I have not shown these two quilts to him yet.  Both quilts were made by his grandmother Ferguson and quilted by his two aunts Simmie & Jessie.   I plan to add labels to each of these quilts and hopefully show the first one in a quilt show.

Hawaiian Sunset

Hawaiian Sunset is my number two favorite quilt!  The sewing was fun and I worked steady until the quilt top was done.  I did not set it aside to work on another project as I so often do.  I had it machine quilted a year ago, so why haven't I put the binding on?  Proof that the pleasure is all in the sewing and fabric selection. &:-D  It is stacked in my closet.  Too bad my picture isn't better.

Completed all these blocks at Karen's Quilt Batt Cabin Retreat 2012
My Old Kentucky Home, pattern by Bonnie Blue
Purchased kit on our way to Paducah 2010, at a wonderful quilt store in Kentucky called Whittles
I think it needs a pieced border-so back to the sewing room!
Paducah 2008!~ Appomattax Court House
My quilt buddy Karen fell in love with this quilt in the Bonnie Blue booth during our Paducah trip and naturally several of us did too.  Notice it is the same block as the quilt above.  Bonnie Blue no longer offered the kit with these fabrics, so we all had a good time looking for it!  Who doesn't love Toile!  Nice to have it done.  Where do the years go?
